Looking for a job where you can work independently, stay active and still have plenty of time for family and your life outside work?

At Kerr’s Dairy, our milk delivery drivers are at the heart of what we do — bringing fresh milk and local products straight to our customers’ doorsteps throughout the night.

Here’s what you can expect:

Four nights a week
Enjoy a consistent working pattern with plenty of days off to make the most of your time outside work.

Competitive pay
We offer a competitive hourly rate. No van or fuel costs – We provide the vehicle, fuel and equipment you need.

A great work-life balance
While the hours may be unconventional, working nights means you can enjoy your days for family life, appointments, hobbies and everything in between.

Keep active while you work
Delivering to hundreds of doorsteps each night means you’ll naturally keep moving throughout your shift.

Permanent contract
Enjoy the security of a permanent position.

Staff discount
Enjoy 50% off selected products.
You even get some freebies!

Why work for Kerr’s Dairy?

Unlike many delivery driving roles, you won’t need to provide your own van or pay for your own fuel.

We provide the vehicle, fuel and equipment, allowing you to concentrate on what matters — delivering great service to our customers.

You’ll also become part of a family-run Scottish business with over 125 years of history. We take pride in our people, our products and the communities we serve.

Who is this role for?

Working independently throughout the night isn’t for everyone.

You’ll need to be reliable, organised and comfortable working on your own, with a can-do attitude and good attention to detail. If you’re someone who enjoys getting stuck in, likes being active and doesn’t mind working during the quieter hours, this could be the perfect role for you.

Previous delivery experience isn’t necessarily required — what matters most is the right attitude and a commitment to providing a great service to our customers.

What does a typical shift look like?

Load your van
Start your shift at one of our depots (Aberdeen and Dundee), loading your van and making sure you have everything you need for your route.
Hit the road
Follow your route, delivering fresh milk and other products directly to our customers' doorsteps.
Keep moving
You'll typically make around 300 deliveries per night, although our routes are carefully planned and many of the doorsteps are close together.
Collect empty bottles
Collect customers' empty glass milk bottles so they can be returned to our dairy, washed and re-used — helping us keep the traditional milk bottle delivery service going.
Finish your route
Return to the depot, unload your empty bottles, and complete your shift before heading home for the morning.

Proud to be a Living Wage Employer

At Kerr’s Dairy, we believe our drivers should be fairly rewarded for the work they do. That’s why we’re proud to be a Living Wage Employer, committed to paying a wage that reflects the real cost of living.

It’s part of our commitment to offering good, dependable jobs and looking after the drivers who keep our deliveries moving every day.
