At Kerr’s Dairy, we believe in delivering fresh dairy products in a way that’s better for the planet. That’s why we’ve made a major investment in renewable energy by installing 204 solar panels, creating a powerful 91.8kW solar system that now supplies 120% of our required energy. By making this switch, we’re significantly reducing our carbon footprint and helping to create a more sustainable future.
Each year, this solar initiative will help us avoid 17 tons of CO₂ emissions, which is the equivalent of taking thousands of car journeys off the road. Over the system’s lifetime, that impact will grow even further, offsetting the emissions of 506,972 car kilometres, planting the equivalent of 3,259 trees, and even eliminating the carbon footprint of 363 long-haul flights.
